Capricor Inc., a Delaware corporation, was founded by Eduardo Marban in July 2005. The company began operations in Baltimore Maryland and relocated to Beverly Hills California in 2007. Capricor closed a private equity round in December 2006. Capricor has exclusively licensed proprietary approaches to renew healthy heart muscle within damaged hearts from the Division of Cardiology of the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and from the University of Rome.
